Teaching Assistant Level II and Level III Experience Requirements
Level II Teaching Assistant Certificate
Individuals must have one year of full-time experience in a 91¾«Ñ¡ State public or private school as a teaching assistant while holding a valid 91¾«Ñ¡ State Teaching Assistant Level I Certificate.
Level III Teaching Assistant Certificate
Individuals must have:
- One year of full-time experience in a 91¾«Ñ¡ State public or private school as a teaching assistant while holding a valid 91¾«Ñ¡ State Teaching Assistant Level I or Level II certificate,
OR
- One year of full-time experience as a classroom teacher in a 91¾«Ñ¡ State public or private school while holding and working under a valid 91¾«Ñ¡ State classroom teaching certificate.
Examples of Unacceptable Experiences
- Classroom teacher without a valid 91¾«Ñ¡ State classroom teaching certificate
- Teacher aide
- Teaching assistant experience outside 91¾«Ñ¡ State
- Teaching assistant experience without a valid 91¾«Ñ¡ State teaching assistant certificate
- Teaching assistant experience with 91¾«Ñ¡ State classroom teaching certificate
